THE MAXWELL STORY

THE MAXWELL STORY

The Maxwell Story

The Maxwell Collection was founded by Marshall Mancillas, the founder of Carnoustie Sportswear, a company which provided the golf market, for well over twenty-five years, with some of the finest golf apparel available. The Carnoustie brand transitioned effortlessly from the clubhouse to most other settings, including the office. Carnoustie featured timeless styling and unparalleled quality and was sold at the most prestigious private clubs and golf resorts in the country. The Maxwell Collection embodies these same sensibilities and was founded to provide the men’s golf market with a more sophisticated and elegant alternative when it comes to shorts and trousers, an often-overlooked category.

With the advent of performance apparel in golf, fabrics which are flimsy, clingy, and many times very hot to wear are now commonplace.  These fabrics can be both uncomfortable and unattractive. Today, with the development of luxury performance yarns and the polyesters from which they are constructed, the Maxwell Collection can offer fabrics that are not only easy care and “performance” in every way, but fabrics which evoke a bygone era when golf professionals and touring professionals alike, as well as many who played the game, dressed with more elegance and sophistication. The Maxwell Collection features premium European performance fabrics. Our core quality expertly blends an incredibly advanced Japanese polyester yarn with other yarns for hand and recovery. Our fabric is lightweight, machine washable, needs no ironing, will keep its color, and has just the right amount of stretch.

Initially, the Maxwell Collection will offer two models: the LOGAN, our five pocket trouser and, the  WYATT, our flat front short. Fine European performance fabrics combine with expert European tailoring to create trousers and shorts that convey a modern, elegant aesthetic, provide for ease of movement and require minimum care. The Maxwell Collection, purveyors of the finest trousers and shorts in the game today.
